Capacitance Senders

Up until recently we have only been able to cut these senders down
to 50% of their manufactured length. This has meant we had to
carry a number of SKUs to cover the range.

With the new design from Centroid, the adjustment pots have been
removed and programming is now done digitally. Along with the
change in programming comes the benefit of being able to cut these
senders to any length. This has allowed us to reduce SKUs.

We will now be carrying 4 SKUs, as listed below. We are sure this
new design feature will benefit everyone.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CALIBRATING CENTROID SENDERS

0-5V OR 10-180 OHM (NO ADJUSTMENT POTS)

CONNECTING YOUR VOLTMETER AND SENDER FOR TESTING AND CALIBRATING:

♦ Connect 12V across sender, but have the power turned off.
♦ Connect voltmeter Red lead to SEND terminal.
♦ Connect voltmeter Black lead to NEG terminal.
♦ Set voltmeter to measure DC Volts.

SETTING THE SENDER EMPTY LEVEL:

♦ Perform this step with the sender in an empty tank or with the sender out of the tank.
♦ Have the power turned off.
♦ Have a jumper temporarily between SEND and NEGATIVE.

♦ Turn the power on and remove the jumper after 2 seconds.
♦ The voltmeter will bounce a little and settle back to 0V.

SETTING THE SENDER FULL LEVEL:

♦ Perform this step with the sender in a full tank of appropriate fluid.
♦ Have the Power turned off.
♦ Have a jumper temporarily between SEND and NEG.
♦ Turn the power on and remove the jumper after 5 seconds.
♦ The voltmeter will bounce a little and settle at 5V.
